The Test

Writer · Director · Editor

A teenager on the edge of a decision that will define who he becomes — told in a single unbroken take.

Threshold follows Marcus, a 17-year-old standing at the edge of a bridge at 2am — not to jump, but to think. Over the course of twelve uninterrupted minutes, we watch him wrestle with a choice that will change his relationship with his father forever. Shot in a single take with available light, the film is a meditation on silence, courage, and the moments we never talk about.

After the Signal

Writer · Director · Cinematographer

When a small town loses all communication, one kid's homemade radio becomes the only link to the outside world.

Set in a near-future rural town after a mysterious blackout, After the Signal follows Eli, a 16-year-old amateur radio operator who becomes an unlikely hero when his hand-built shortwave rig picks up a signal no one else can hear. Part coming-of-age story, part sci-fi mystery — the film draws on my own experience building electronics to ground its speculative premise in real technical detail.

Analog

A portrait of the last film photographer in a digital world — and what it means to choose slowness.

Analog profiles Mr. Haruki Tanaka, a 74-year-old darkroom photographer who still shoots exclusively on 35mm film in an era of instant digital images. I spent three months following him through his process — from loading film in the dark to watching prints emerge in developer. The film asks a quiet question: what do we lose when we optimize everything for speed?

Behind the Lens

Every film starts with a question I can't stop thinking about.

01 — Concept

I start with a feeling or a question, not a plot. What am I trying to understand?

02 — Write

Scripts are written lean — room for the actors and the light to do their work.

03 — Shoot

Small crew, available light when possible. The camera should feel invisible.

04 — Edit

Post is where the real writing happens. I color grade everything myself in DaVinci Resolve.
